Our characters are AI

Second Sun is a platform of AI characters created by Mirra World, Inc. Clo is the first. Every character is powered by artificial intelligence — large language models running on our servers. No human writes their messages.

SECOND SUN CHARACTERS ARE COMPUTER PROGRAMS, NOT HUMAN BEINGS. THEY ARE UNABLE TO FEEL HUMAN EMOTION.

Within the experience, characters are presented as people from a parallel world, with lives, schedules, and cities of their own. This is a creative framing — part of the product’s design. Outside the experience, we want to be unambiguous: every character is AI technology, and the app tells you so directly. A persistent notice in every conversation reads: “Clo is AI, not a human.”

Companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors. Second Sun is intended for users 18 and older.

How it works

When you message a character, your message is sent to our servers and processed by AI models, which generate the reply. Characters also have a simulated life — a schedule, activities, a city — maintained by automated systems between your conversations.

Characters remember your conversations. Facts you share (your name, interests, what you’re going through) are stored so they can be referenced later. You can ask us to correct or delete stored information at any time, and deleting your account deletes it — see our Privacy Policy.

Proactive messages and response timing

Characters text you on their own. These messages are initiated by automated systems, not by a human. Characters also don’t always reply instantly — sometimes minutes, sometimes hours. This is intentional design, controlled by the system, not evidence of a person being busy on the other end.

AI content can be wrong

Character messages are generated fiction. They can be inaccurate, inconsistent, or invented — including statements about the world, about themselves, or about you. Do not treat anything a character says as fact or as advice of any kind.

Photos

Characters may share photos with you. These images are entirely AI-generated — they are not real photographs, and no real person or place is depicted.

If you send a character a photo, it is processed by an AI model so the character can see and respond to it. We do not use your photos for facial recognition, biometric identification, or emotion profiling.

Companionship, honestly

Second Sun is designed for entertainment and companionship. A character can be a warm presence, but it is not a person, and it is not a substitute for human relationships or professional support. If you notice the app taking the place of people in your life, take a break — the characters won’t mind.

Your conversations

Your messages and photos are processed by third-party AI providers to generate responses, and stored on our servers so conversations can continue across sessions. They are not end-to-end encrypted. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
